SpanGUARD Model 36MM Power Line Marker
The new Model 36MM is aluminum, which can withstand the higher temperatures and voltages and weighs only 20 lbs, much less than fiberglass markers. The Model 36MM is attached to the line with spiral wire perform, proven reliable in 40 years of service. Long life is insured by the rugged construction of the aluminum marker.
SpanGUARD
SpanGUARD line markers make overhead power lines visible to low flying aircraft, protecting valuable power lines and saving lives. SpanGUARD markers have been in service since 1950, secured to the power line by Preform. To our knowledge, none have ever come off the line. Over 600 utilities are using SpanGUARD markers and all are repeat customers.
SpanBRITE
SpanBRITE Line Markers are an advanced development in making power lines visible to low flying aircraft, even night, thus protecting valuable power lines and saving lives. The exclusive SpanBRITE coating makes the markers visible at night. SpanBRITE markers are international orange, or white, or yellow during the day and have been tested as visible to 2500 feet away at night with helicopter landing lights. They can be seen at 750 feet at night with a small flash light.
SpanLite Self Illuminated Light
For decades, utilities have looked for spherical orange markers to mark the lines during the day and fragile neon lamps to light the lines for night traffic. The SpanLite new patent pending technology makes lighting remote towers, catenary river crossings, low hanging wires, or near airports much more reliable, less expensive and long lasting than previous attempts. SpanLite’s simple, but rugged construction means the SpanLite only requires 21 inches of line to work. Each SpanLite is housed in an orange 12” inch aluminum spherical housing that marks the line during day time. The SpanLite picks up enough energy to power LED obstruction light 24/7 by using a special transformer and solid state regulator.
Redbell Model A-20 Power Line Marker
The universal Model A-20 can be applied on all lines up to 200KV and the same marker can be installed on any line between .1" and 1" in diameter. Constructed out of acrylic, it retains its color longer and is more rugged than fibreglass.
