About Us

Slatercom-WCD (div. of Afcomm, LLC) began its operations as a separate entity after operating as Slater Communications & Elect., Inc.- WCD for over 30 years. An increase in tower and communications site activities during the early 2000 time period necessitated a separate “Wireless Construction Division” devoted to wireless construction activities. These capabilities include complete site development- from site clearing through equipment installation and commissioning.

Our customer base includes governmental entities (local as well as Federal), wireless carriers, utilities, commercial 2 way radio operators, wireless internet operators, site speculators as well as subcontract work for major tower manufacturers.

We have performed work throughout the Western US for the above entities. We are equipped to do work our competitors typically subcontract out. This includes complete foundation installation (specializing in rock anchor bolt installations), concrete coring & cutting, steel fabrication shop (equipped with iron workers & other fabrication equipment) and mini-excavator equipment used for conduit & grounding work in tight quarter installations.

The above capabilities allow us to perform work at our schedule- not subcontractors schedules.

Slatercom- WCD operates from a 5000 sq. ft. company owned facility E. of Salem, OR.
